Task 1 — 90-Day SOC Plan
Objective: Expand the capstone's plan into a real 90-day document you could present.
Instructions:
- Monthly goals, weekly milestones, owners
- Budget asks with justification
- Risk section (what derails the plan)
Deliverable: A 1500-word 90-day-plan.md.
Task 2 — Metrics Dashboard Mock
Objective: Sketch a 5-panel SOC metrics dashboard.
Instructions:
- Panels: MTTD, MTTR, FP rate, coverage %, top incidents
- Include the data source for each
- Include the alert threshold for each
Deliverable: A markdown mock with one paragraph per panel.
Task 3 — Stakeholder Presentation
Objective: Write the 5-minute CISO talk track that accompanies your 90-day plan.
Instructions:
- Slide-by-slide narrative, no more than 5 slides
- Lead with the one decision you need from the CISO
- Anticipate 3 hard questions and have answers
Deliverable: A ciso-brief.md with talk track and Q&A prep.
