Homework — Lesson 03
Two short tasks · ~30 minutes · Personal and confidential to you
Note
This homework is about you. Keep your answers private; you do not need to share them. The value is in doing it honestly.
Task 1 — Your top five indirect attack paths
List the five people or accounts through which an adversary is most likely to reach you indirectly. For each, note whether it is a person or an account, how soft it is, and what the adversary would gain.
✓ Self-check: at least two entries are people (not systems), and at least one is a personal rather than corporate account.
Task 2 — One aggregation you are leaking
Identify one combination of public fragments about you (e.g. a bio detail + a recurring travel pattern + a named assistant) that together would help an adversary time or target an approach. Decide whether to break the pattern, and how.
✓ Self-check: you identified an aggregate (a combination), not a single fact, and made an explicit decision about it.
Task 3 (optional) — Brief one person in your chain
Pick one person in your trust chain (assistant, deputy, a key supplier contact) and plan a two-minute conversation about how an adversary might impersonate you to them. Write the one verification habit you will ask them to adopt.
✓ Self-check: your verification habit is a concrete action (e.g. "call me back on my known number for any payment or supplier change"), not "be alert."
