Task 1 — Complete the hardening baseline and self-attest
Finish any items from the lab checklist you could not complete in the room (including those needing IT). Then self-attest: write one line stating which items are now done, which need IT action, and your target date for the rest.
✓ Self-check: every checklist item is marked done, delegated-to-IT with a date, or knowingly accepted with a reason.
Task 2 — Move your email to phishing-resistant auth
If you have not already, enable a passkey or hardware security key on your primary email account — the master key to your identity. Note any blocker you hit and who can resolve it.
✓ Self-check: your email is protected by a phishing-resistant factor, or you have a named owner and date for making it so.
Task 3 (optional) — Set the reporting culture
Draft two sentences you could say to your team to make prompt, blameless incident reporting the norm. Aim for something you would actually say out loud.
✓ Self-check: your wording removes blame and rewards speed — it would make a nervous staffer more likely to report, not less.
